Saeplast is 30 Years Old – Happy Birthday!

GW Containers key brand and partner, Saeplast, celebrated 30 years within the insulated container & rotational molding industry. Saeplast who are based in Dalvik, Iceland are the worlds leading producer of Insulated containers and the number one insulated container in the UK.

GW Containers are delighted to have been the sole UK distributor for Saeplast over the past 14 years having built up a reputation of exceptionally high quality products combined with a excellent customer service.

Saeplast began in Dalvik back in 1984 with the demand for higher quality containers for the Icelandic fishing industry, after developing the first insulated container, fisherman found a marked increase in quality and shelf life of the fish. The products proved an instant success and Saeplast developed an instant recognized name within the Icelandic fishing industry. Export followed and in 1993 Saeplast won the President of Iceland Export award.

In 2000 GW Containers became sole distributor for Saeplast with very little presence in any market. Today, GW Containers in partnership with Promens (Saeplast parent company) are the UK’s leading supplier to the fishing industry and Animal by-products industry whilst also being one of the preferred products in meat, vegetables, battery recycling, waste and food processing.
